This is a great little rod that does a great job from the beach or a jetty. Not a true surf rod but long enough to notice the difference in distance.

This is a great option if you like to throw light bucktails in the surf or smaller surface presentations in the salt ponds. The rod has also worked out great for the false albacore beach fisherman throwing 1 to 1.5 oz epoxy or metal lures.

Pair this up with a Van Stall 150  or a 6000 class spinning reel and 30#  braid.
